As someone who got nastily zinged by Emily Gould on Gawker (for my “oversharing” in the pages of The New York Times, no less), I particularly appreciated and enjoyed her brave personal essay (May 25). Above all, it was helpful to gain insight into some of the motivations behind the increasingly vicious blog world, courtesy of one of its former mean girls.
